About
A D Penhall is my pen name (pun unavoidable), Penhallurick being way too long to fit on any book spine. As Ann Penhallurick, I am an author who is or has been a psychologist, a baker’s van driver, a vegetarian cook (when not a vegetarian), a speech pathologist, a cleaner, the editor of a disability-professional magazine, an eco-tourism provider (and cleaner again), an activist, a repeat volunteer, a disability advocate. I've recently become a publisher of books for children which are authored by and/or feature people or characters living with disability (see the Children's publishing page here or rockingboat.au). I am now and always happily will be a mother and grandmother.
I'm also the product of four cities, three states, twelve schools, three universities, even more flats, houses, post-codes (in Australia and the UK) than jobs since. Life's been a busy thing. When it slows down (if ever!) I intend to age with red lipstick, hiking boots and some degree of disgrace in the incomparable Blue Mountains.
Dangerous Devotions is my debut novel. I'm planning on plenty more to come.
